The One Of A Kind Food Festival That Only North Carolinians Could Love
How would we get along in North Carolina without our beloved Liver Mush? Not very happily, that’s how. Thank goodness for the town of Marion, an instrumental part of keeping the regional delicacy alive – in more ways than one. For twelve years in a row now, Marion has been home to one of the state’s two Liver Mush Festivals and it’s almost time for 2018’s event.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
The 2018 Marion Liver Mush Festival takes place on Saturday, June 2nd from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Main Street in Marion, North Carolina. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
It turns out, Marion really knows how to throw a party! They’re hosting the first-ever Bigfoot Festival in North Carolina later this year. Get the scoop in this previous article.
