A summer trip to a primitive swimming hole in North Carolina may be just the thing you need to harken you back to your childhood for a day. And Jordan Lake is just the spot to make it happen. This more than 13,000-acre lake in the New Hope Valley features 180 undeveloped miles of shoreline with access provided by way of seven stellar Jordan Lake State Recreation Area access points all around the lake.

All but one of those access points features a swim area. And picking a single favorite access point is difficult, but one of our favorites is Ebenezer Church Access which features the beautiful Ebenezer Beach.

Found on the lake's eastern shore, Ebenezer Beach is the highlight of the Ebenezer Church Day-Use Area at Jordan Lake.
