One Of America’s Best Beaches Is Right Here In North Carolina And You’ll Want To Visit

The highly regarded ‘Dr. Beach,’ AKA international beach expert Stephen Leatherman, has released his annual list compiling the best beaches in America and this year, Ocracoke’s Lifeguard Beach has moved up the ranks to place third. The popular list is based on 50 criteria revolving around sand and water quality, environmental management, and utilities. Yet, this beach is used to the spotlight: last year it was named fourth and in 2007 received the title of ‘Top Beach in America.’
