La Farm's master baker, Lionel Vatinet, is one of the highest quality bread producers and on one of the top bread baking consultants in America. In 2015 Lionel was recognized by James Beard Foundation as a semifinalist for "Outstanding Baker." At the age of 16 he joined France's prestigious Les Compagnons du Devoir, an artisans guild where his passion was first nurtured. Training under European bakers, eventually he received the title of Maitre Boulanger (Master Baker).
