There’s No House In The World Like This One In North Carolina
Jule Gilmer Körner was a decorator, painter, furniture and interior designer. He turned his skills into pure magic at one particular house found in Kernersville, North Carolina. His greatest work of art – Körner’s Folly.

Korner's Folly started as a 'catalogue' for Jule to display his work. As an up and coming artist, he wanted to make his mark.

Körner's Folly began to take shape in such a unique way - everyone started talking. The architectural design, high and low ceilings, small and large windows - matched with unique furniture slowly grew into an eccentric creation.

Once finished, a neighbor remarked “…that will surely be Jule Körner’s folly.” And so the name was born.
This extremely interesting house is one part fantasy and the next realistic wonder.

In the house you'll find a myriad of difference and similarity. No two doors or windows are the same. The ceilings range from 5 1/2 ft. to 25 ft.

At times, Körner's Folly feels as if you're walking through a life-size doll house. You encounter child-size rooms and airy, open breezways. Nooks, crannies, and breathtaking murals. There's something new to find around each corner.

The house has 22 total rooms spread out over three floors and seven levels. There's a former stable that's now a library, Cupid's Park Theatre - a private theatre on the third floor - and 15 different fireplaces.

You can visit Körner's Folly from Weds-Sunday and take a self-guided tour of the whimsical house.
