There are plenty of creepy destinations that you can discover in North Carolina, but today’s topic proves that a location doesn’t have to be haunted in order for it to make your skin crawl. You won’t believe what was discovered inside this home in the small city of King.

The King Police Department in North Carolina discovered a total of 93 sets of human remains inside of a residential home.

The discovery came after a neighbor called the police when they had seen bone fragments and cremated remains in and around trash cans in their neighborhood.

An investigation proved that the remains had been in the possession of neighbor James Massie, an employee of Cremation Services Inc. in Winston-Salem.

Massie stated that all 93 containers of unclaimed human remains were in his home for the time being because the crematory had run out of space.

While the entire situation is more than unusual, it was later confirmed by Massie's employer that he did in fact have permission to transport the remains to his home until they could find a fitting space for the unclaimed cremations.

The King Police Department was unable to take any kind of criminal action for this case because no actual laws were broken. Police did file a complaint with the North Carolina Board of Funeral Services who took it upon themselves to suspend Cremation Services' license. The suspension of their license now means that the crematory is required to cease any activities and obligations that involve needing a crematory permit.
