This Ice Creamery And Petting Zoo Is A North Carolina Dream Come True

Wholesome family fun can seem in short supply at times, but it’s always available in large amounts at this dairy farm in North Carolina. From hayrides to petting a newborn calf, and loads of ice cream to enjoy… this is one day trip the whole family is sure to love.

Homeland Creamery is located at 6506 Bowman Dairy Rd., Julian, NC 27283. As a mere point of reference, that’s 30 minutes from downtown Greensboro, and approximately 90 minutes from Fayetteville and Charlotte. The creamery is open seven days a week, with extended summertime hours. The hours are: (Summer) Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday/Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Winter) Monday – Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tours have limited seating, last approximately 90 minutes, and cost $7 per person, plus tax.
