During that time, Gertrude poured herself into renovating her childhood home, filling it with beautiful art and antiques. After she died in 1981, Gertrude stipulated that her residence would remain a living museum, allowing visitors to enjoy her home just as she left it.
Visit the beautiful grounds of this historic home and see the antique furniture and artworks the Smith family left behind. This wonderful home is open from April to December, and admission is free.
