Few People Know There’s A Cool Grotto Hidden Along This Waterfall Trail In North Carolina
There aren’t too many natural caves in the Tar Heel State that are open to the public but there’s a very cool grotto in North Carolina found along an easy waterfall trail in the Pisgah National Forest near Brevard.
The trail begins right on U.S. 276 about 17 miles northwest of Brevard
Since it's located on a waterfall-laden highway, it's also highly trafficked in warmer seasons so prepare to share the trail and be sure to keep the four-legged family members on a leash.
While most people take this hike to witness the astounding Moore Cove Falls which drop an impressive 50-plus feet over a rock ledge, many are pleasantly surprised by the hidden grotto at the base of the falls.
Love exploring the Tar Heel State on foot? Visit this cool grotto in North Carolina and see its enormous presence for yourself! Moore Cove Falls is open year-round, but the best time to visit is during the warm seasons.
