Make Your Summer Epic With A Visit To This Hidden North Carolina Water Park

Called a ‘man on a mission,’ Korean War vet and Boy Scout leader George Wetherington built Green Springs on the Neuse River as a way to let ‘kids be kids’ and have plenty of water adventure away from the more, ‘safe’ structures of our time. A true blast from the past, the towering timber waterpark in New Bern seems almost plucked from the 70s or 80s when having fun wasn’t so regulated but instead encouraged wherever fun might find you.

For another way to make the most of water adventure this summer, how about a cruise down this natural lazy river?
