This Indoor Beach In North Carolina Is The Best Place To Go This Winter
To us, winter means several months in a row where each month has the potential for a three-day weekend getaway. And what better way to ward off the brutal chills of the cold temps than by snubbing Old Man Winter with an awesome trip to a warm, subtropical, indoor water park right here in our own back yard? No matter your age, there’s always fun to be had when you’re dipping your toes into the surf.
The Great Wolf Lodge in Concord has an indoor water park that features pools with beach entrances and gentle waves.
You can sit in the gentle surf just inside the pool and imagine you're in the warm waters of the Atlantic in the middle of summer. Or, sit poolside (er... beach side) and read a book while the kids or grand kids wear themselves out.
One thing for sure is there are plenty of activities for the entire family to enjoy, including an obstacle course designed for the kiddos, but versatile enough for adults to easily accompany (and enjoy) too!
From the beach to a variety of water-based fun attractions like slides, chutes, fountains, a fort, water basketball, and more... there's sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.
This indoor water park resort has it all, including family-oriented dining options and even a Dunkin' Donuts (so you can stay caffeinated to keep up with the kiddos).
The best part about going in winter? We can't say for sure, but it's likely the best time to snag a promotional deal. However; deal or no deal... the value of this family getaway in the middle of winter will warm more than your wallet!
