This Beloved Amusement Park In North Carolina Just Released Some Devastating News
As the first weekend opening of Land Of Oz quickly sold out, another beloved amusement park released news that is quite the opposite. Ghost Town In The Sky, located in Maggie Valley, has had a tumultuous few years since owner Alaska Presley vowed to reopen the park with a new theme. They even created a media storm announcing the grand re-opening slated for this summer. But good news has turned bad.

Many speculated that the park wouldn't open in a timely manner, or at least be delayed another year. No one expected that the park would be sold. It has left many scratching their heads and wondering what went wrong.

Some fans are actually not even surprised. In my last article reporting on the re-opening, many speculated if it would even happen. It's almost as if this amusement park, located 4,600 ft. in the sky, is cursed.

It seems owner Alaska Presley tried her best to re-open with a bang, but many feel the decision to sell has come completely out of left field. With so much press reporting on the re-opening, it could have very well been a success.

It seems Ghost Town In The Sky continues to live up to its name, and will remain a Ghost Town. While the news is disappointing, it's still amazing to think North Carolina is home to such an amazing, unique theme park.
Were you surprised, upset, or shocked by this news? Had you already made plans to visit this summer? What do you think will come to be of the amusement park, and do you have any speculations on why Ghost Town is being sold?
