If you’ve never been to, or even heard of China Grove, North Carolina, then maybe it’s time for a road trip. The small North Carolina suburban town is found approximate 30 miles northeast of Charlotte and just off of interstate 85. Home to myriad restaurants, a few museums, and more, Chine Grove is also the birthplace of the famous author, Gary Chapman, who penned “The Five Languages of Love.” But China Grove is known for yet another thing: Gary’s BBQ.
