12 Things All North Carolinians Love
While some people don’t agree on everything (or anything for that matter) there ARE some things that can be universally agreed on and loved. I’m pretty confident in saying that (most) North Carolinians LOVE these twelve things.
We love Cheerwine so much we make slushies out of it, milkshakes, and even put it in Krispy Kreme doughnuts...speaking of that.
2. Krispy Kreme
Any special occasion in NC, you're sure to find a dozen glazed doughnuts.
3. A relaxing beach day followed by a gorgeous sunset
Nothing beats it!
4. New adventures
More waterfalls to explore, trails to hike, waves to surf, and beautiful places to ride our bike. We're a very active state!
We might crack jokes about "leafers" but we understand why one would travel miles and hours to catch a glimpse of the foliage. Fall is beautiful in the mountains and also everywhere across the state.
6. A home cooked meal shared with loved ones
We'll pick this over a fancy restaurant any day!
7. But we still love a good night out
With our restaurant scene consistently ranked as one of the best in the nation, North Carolinians LOVE trying new restaurants and bars. We're a social bunch with an appreciation for the finer things, while still being humble about it.
College basketball is what normally comes to a person's mind..but there are plenty of other sports. You'll find us at a baseball game on a nice summer evening, cheering on the Panther's in the fall, and even bundling up for a hockey game.
On the front porch, at a summer concert, on the beach, by a waterfall...we're pretty good at being laid back and down to earth.
We love it so much we have TWO different styles.
11. A beautiful Blue Ridge sunrise
I'll take mine wrapped in a cozy blanket with a hot cup of coffee!
11. North Carolina
Even if you find yourself complaining about humidity in the summer, inconsistent weather, hurricanes, state politics...etc etc etc...at the end of the day we all know that we LOVE our state, and can you really blame us?
What would you add to the list? Tell us in the comments!
