The Sight Of Fall Foliage In North Carolina From Up Above Is Unbeatable On This Scenic Chair Lift Ride

Fall foliage in the Highlands of North Carolina is primed for a phenomenal show this year – and we can say with all certainty that we absolutely deserve it after the year we’ve had. Whether you’re a local in this part of the state or planning to make a day or weekend trip from other parts of the Tar Heel State, there are plenty of places to admire nature’s art gallery this year.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Chairlift rides at Sugar Mountain Ski Resort on October 10-11 are offered from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The following weekend, October 17-18, rides are offered from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
