This Enchanting Town In North Carolina Is Unlike Any Other In The World

They call this enchanting town in North Carolina the Town of Crepe Myrtles. But it is easy to see, in Angier, the beauty extends far beyond those pretty trees and deep into the great care of the lovely town by the fine people living here. Sitting only 22 miles from the state capital, sometimes this beautiful space lives in the shadows. From inviting spots for relaxing to small businesses and immaculate parks, you’ll find something to celebrate when you visit.

Welcome to Angier: Town of Crepe Myrtles.

As they enhance so many spaces, it is easy to see why the tree is the namesake of Angier.

And there is always a reason to celebrate, such as the Angier Spring Fling Festival, coming Saturday, March 25.

The WholeVet Great American Car Show took place in November.

But by the care in which this space is kept, you are invited and encouraged to sit here, relax, and enjoy the beauty of downtown without a party.

Or take a lunch break in front of town hall to play on one of two game tables, waiting just for you.

And look, they even decorate the Angier Town Hall and Police Department for fall.

The Christmas holiday lights up some of the other local businesses, such as Brick and Mortar Grill, where outside seating brings a magical city view.

Bite into one of the newest creations, the Crunch Burger, slathered with creamy mayo, tangy barbecue sauce, lettuce, tomato, homemade chips, and cheddar cheese.

And when the season is right, get out to the country a little ways and be amazed at the abundant berry harvest from Dr. Young's Pond Berry Farm.

Speaking of gardens, the Angier Public Library has a cool seed library exchange, including flowers, fruits, herbs, and vegetables, complete with planting instructions.

And while you're at the library, you must visit The Marvin and Mary Johnson Gourd Museum, located in the same building. Here you will see the most eclectic collection of gourds gathered from many countries around the world.

The parks and recreation staff keep Jack Marley Park in pristine condition.

Head over to Dawns Vintage and Thrift for some interesting finds, including this mid-1800s solid wood, possibly maple rocking chair, worth a reupholstery project.

And if you're curious about the past, the Angier Museum contains history, facts, and interesting stories about the town and its people.

This quaint town offers beauty everywhere you look.

And keep your eyes open for these fairy homes that have been reported downtown.
