The Southern Christmas Show is the largest holiday shopping event you'll find in Charlotte and it opened last weekend at the Park Expo and Conference Center. This Christmas Market is unlike any you've ever been to as there are hundreds of exhibitors, a Christmas tree lane filled with exquisitely decorated Fraser firs from the North Carolina Mountains, and tons of holiday entertainment performances happening on the main stage as you wander through this Southern Christmas Wonderland.

Olde Mecklenburg Brewery / Used With Permission
The Weihnachtsmarkt Christmas Market at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is the closest thing Charlotte has to a true, German Christmas market. The market will be open for three weekends in December, beginning on the December 1-2 and ending December 15-16.
On Fridays, the market is open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays it will be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Olde Mecklenburg Brewery / Used With Permission
It's held outdoors on the patio, so make sure to dress warm. You'll find local artists and merchants selling everything from paintings, custom pet wear and collars, and last year, someone even had a tent full of ugly Christmas sweaters! There will be fires going on the patio creating a cozy outdoor glow, so grab a beer and a pretzel inside the taproom to warm up and continue your evening.

The Charlotte Christmas Village takes place every year in Uptown Charlotte at Romare Bearden Park. Open from Thanksgiving Day until Christmas Eve, the Christmas Village is an awesome place to experiences some great holiday cheer.

Austrian strudels, bratwurst with sauerkraut, roasted nuts, and a German bakery are just some of the goodies you can look forward to at the Village this year, but the bacon jam is by far a local favorite! An opening celebration will take place right after the Charlotte Thanksgiving Day Parade, so head on over after the procession and be one of the first people to enjoy this magical Christmas Village.

The Vintage Charlotte Winter Market is a one day pop-up event that will happen this year on Saturday, November 18 at the Fillmore. If you want to avoid the crowd and have the convenience of shopping before everyone else, you can arrive at 10 a.m. and pay $7 for an early bird admission. Otherwise, general admission is only $2 and you can enter at 11 a.m.

Midwood Market is a recurring sidewalk market in Charlotte's Plaza Midwood neighborhood. Throughout the year, Midwood Market allows local artists and vendors to gather together to sell their goods, art, food, and more in a friendly neighborhood environment.
