It may only be mid-November, but the holiday season is already getting into full swing in the Queen City. As you are beginning your holiday shopping, you may want to try some of these great Christmas markets where you can find amazing crafts, jewelry, and other handmade goods that make the perfect gifts for friends, family, or neighbors.
1. Southern Christmas Show
The Southern Christmas Show is the largest holiday shopping event you'll find in Charlotte and it opened last weekend at the Park Expo and Conference Center. This Christmas Market is unlike any you've ever been to as there are hundreds of exhibitors, a Christmas tree lane filled with exquisitely decorated Fraser firs from the North Carolina Mountains, and tons of holiday entertainment performances happening on the main stage as you wander through this Southern Christmas Wonderland.
Santa is always around at the Southern Christmas Show, making it a great place to bring the kids so they can let him know what's on their list this year.
This show has been a huge draw for locals for the past 50 years! Everyone looks forward to the day the Christmas Show opens and it becomes a regular activity for many until it ends.

2. Weihnachtsmarkt Christmas Market at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery

The Weihnachtsmarkt Christmas Market at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is the closest thing Charlotte has to a true, German Christmas market. The market will be open for three weekends in December, beginning on the December 1-2 and ending December 15-16.
On Fridays, the market is open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays it will be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Weihnachtsmarkt Christmas Market is a wonderful place to stroll as you sip a warm mulled cider or your favorite OMB beer.

It's held outdoors on the patio, so make sure to dress warm. You'll find local artists and merchants selling everything from paintings, custom pet wear and collars, and last year, someone even had a tent full of ugly Christmas sweaters! There will be fires going on the patio creating a cozy outdoor glow, so grab a beer and a pretzel inside the taproom to warm up and continue your evening.

3. Charlotte Christmas Village
The Charlotte Christmas Village takes place every year in Uptown Charlotte at Romare Bearden Park. Open from Thanksgiving Day until Christmas Eve, the Christmas Village is an awesome place to experiences some great holiday cheer.
The Village is open Tuesdays through Sundays and is known for not only its awesome vendors and performers, but also for the amazing food that you'll find onsite.
Austrian strudels, bratwurst with sauerkraut, roasted nuts, and a German bakery are just some of the goodies you can look forward to at the Village this year, but the bacon jam is by far a local favorite! An opening celebration will take place right after the Charlotte Thanksgiving Day Parade, so head on over after the procession and be one of the first people to enjoy this magical Christmas Village.

4. Vintage Charlotte
The Vintage Charlotte Winter Market is a one day pop-up event that will happen this year on Saturday, November 18 at the Fillmore. If you want to avoid the crowd and have the convenience of shopping before everyone else, you can arrive at 10 a.m. and pay $7 for an early bird admission. Otherwise, general admission is only $2 and you can enter at 11 a.m.
More than 60 local and regional vendors will be selling their vintage and handmade goods in the beautifully transformed Winter Wonderland that was the Fillmore Concert venue.
This is the perfect place to visit if you are shopping for that person who loves vintage items or unique things you might not find anywhere else. Vintage Charlotte hosts many other pop-ups throughout the year, and they are always tons of fun and done perfectly. If you're looking for something fun to do this Saturday, head out to this holiday pop-up and get some shopping done early!

5. Midwood Market
Midwood Market is a recurring sidewalk market in Charlotte's Plaza Midwood neighborhood. Throughout the year, Midwood Market allows local artists and vendors to gather together to sell their goods, art, food, and more in a friendly neighborhood environment.
In December, Midwood Market transforms to Holiday Central as vendors become more holiday focused and shoppers are thrilled with the awesome holiday finds they'll scoop up here.
The Market is open on Saturdays in December from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is a great place to spend time with the whole family while getting in the holiday spirit.

6. 7th Street Public Market Sip & Shop
The Holiday Sip & Shop at 7th Street Public Market is occurring December 8, 15, and 22 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. this year. The Holiday Sip & Shop is an awesome event in one of Charlotte's already popular markets.
Each year, the Sip & Shop features new local vendors from Charlotte selling their handmade or locally grown items to residents in the area.
You can find everything here from beautiful handmade wreaths, Christmas decorations, art, jewelry, locally grown flowers, produce, and more. The 7th Street Public Market Sip & Shop is a great way to show your support for local and grassroots businesses in the area. 7. Christmas at Cabarrus Holiday Market
The Christmas at Cabarrus Holiday Market is hosted at Cabarrus Brewing Company and a great event for those that live more North of Charlotte.
Christmas at Cabarrus will occur on Saturday, December 2 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Visitors will be able to browse the more than 40 vendors while enjoying Cabarrus Brewing Company's special "Wishlist Spiced Winter Ale." The proceeds from the holiday brews purchased will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina to help grant the wishes of local children suffering from life threatening illnesses. If you need to do some shopping and want to support a great cause, this market is the one for you!

8. Noda All Arts Market
If you are an art lover, you must hit the Noda All Arts Market this winter. The All Arts Market will be taking place in Noda on the weekend of December 2 and 3.
The All Arts Market is an a place where you'll be in awe of the amazing talents of the local artists in Charlotte.
This market only popjs-up a couple times a year, so make sure you check it out this December, especially if you are an avid art lover.

9. Pink Social Girl Tribe Holiday Market
The Pink Social Girl Tribe is an online community forum that has taken social media and the Queen City by storm. This group full of local women showcases and supports talented women all over Charlotte and their locally-owned businesses.
This year, the Pink Social Girl Tribe is hosting a holiday market pop-up market the weekend of December 8 and 9.
This pop-up market will take place at Sugar Creek Brewing Company and will have some of the most fantastic merchandise you'll see in Charlotte.
