Get ready, North Carolina… the annual Carolina Renaissance Festival is back this year after taking a hiatus for the pandemic in 2020, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever! For eight consecutive weekends beginning October 2 (through November 21), 2021, the Carolina Renaissance Festival will be open for business on Saturdays and Sundays in the festival’s fairy tale Village of Fairhaven – and it’s an event every single person in the family will love.
With everything from jousting to street performers, Renaissance-era themed rides for the kiddos, some of the best fair food you've ever tasted, live music, an artisan market, and much, much, more, there's enough here to return weekend after weekend to get in on the fun.
For those who love watching other people, this is the place to be! And the best part? Not all of these costumed folks are performers in the festival... many are attendees of the festival! That's right... many people pull out their best Renaissance attire and wear it to the festival!
More than 500 costumed characters are slated to make appearances within the Village at this year's festival. In addition to the strolling costumed characters, the festival also has a total of 14 stages packed with live performances scheduled throughout the entire eight weekends (16 days).
