A Visit To This One Of A Kind Camel Farm In North Carolina Is An Absolute Blast
Just when you thought you’ve seen and it all in the Tar Heel State, along comes a camel farm to upend your sensibilities. Carolina Camel Rides operates from Ramseur, North Carolina where you can actually ride one of their cute camels. Who says you have to travel to the Sahara Desert to ride a camel?!

Carolina Camel Rides and the Camel Station are located at 2975 Parks Crossroads Church Rd., Ramseur, NC 27316. Camel rides in the ring are $19.50/person and include three rides, plus unlimited time in the petting zoo (children under age 4 are free with a paying adult). The camel treks are more akin to a trail ride (on a camel) and last approximately one hour. The cost is $65/person and your trek must be scheduled in advance by calling 336-963-4227. You must be age 10 or older for the camel trek.
Camel Station is open four days a week: Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Learn more on their official website.
Carolina Camel Rides is located a mere 40 minutes south of Greensboro and less than two hours northeast of Charlotte.
