The Chimichangas At This North Carolina Restaurant Are So Gigantic They Fall Off The Plate
The best Chimichangas to be found on possibly the entire planet come from a hole in the wall right here in North Carolina and, once you’ve seen them, you’re bound to start craving one of your own.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. The Chimichanga was born in Arizona in the 1920s and quickly spread across the nation — because it's just that good.
You may have to endure a flight of stairs in your quest for the biggest and best Chimichanga in the Tar Heel State but trust us, it's worth it. (They also have an elevator if the stairs and graffiti are just too much... )
You may be tempted by the other flavorful items on the menu at Cosmic Cantina so don't forget why you came. Double down and order up a steak or chicken deluxe that's stuffed full of meat, rice, and beans. The tortilla is golden and crusty and as light as a fluffy wafer. It's topped with guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. Yum.
When your order comes up, grab that plate and carefully maneuver that colossal fried goodness over to one of the tables and begin a food fest like no other.
Now that you've had the best Chimichanga on the planet, you can work your way through the other menu items that also fall off the plate (they're so big), like the gigantic burritos.
Don't let the outside fool ya, and don't mistake where to enter, either. You'll want to go in the small door with the red window at the top and located just to the left of the telephone pole in the photo below. Trust us: the Chimichangas are just that good!
