Celebrate The Sweetest Harvest Of The Year At The North Carolina Apple Festival
Did you know North Carolina has the distinction of being the 7th largest apple producing state in the country? So why not jump on the band wagon and join in the sweetest harvest celebration of the year when the annual North Carolina Apple Festival gets underway in Hendersonville over Labor Day weekend? Here’s what to expect:
The festival kicks off on Friday, September 3rd and runs through Monday, September 6th, 2021.
Opening ceremonies take place on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in front of the Henderson County Courthouse in Hendersonville. And after taking a hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic, the festival is geared up for a fantastic return this year!
Even though the official opening isn't slated until 4:30 in the afternoon, Friday has a whole host of activities, including a pancake breakfast,
Plan to peruse the huge street fair taking place all four days. Wander through a number of vendor booths offering everything from local apples to food, to festival merchandise and more.
In fact, if you leave the apple festival without some apples from local growers then you'll surely be missing out! More than 65% of all of North Carolina's apples are grown right here in Henderson County!
Arts and craftsmen and women will be on hand selling their goods; some will be working on projects while at the festival so you'll get to see some demos. The kids will love this, too.
Think you’ll add The North Carolina Apple Festival to your social calendar this year? The dates are Friday, September 3 through Monday, September 6, 2021. The hours are Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. Don’t forget to stay for the King Apple Parade on Monday at 2:30! This is the traditional finale to the festival and it’s a can’t-miss event!
