Don’t Miss The Biggest Mountain Festival In North Carolina This Year, The Mountain State Fair
Get ready, North Carolina! After taking a year off due to COVID, the biggest mountain festival in all of North Carolina is set to open in a month and we couldn’t be happier that it’s returning! Now in its 26th year, the Mountain State Fair has grown to be a favorite among residents and visitors alike. And it’s easy to see why…
Is there any prettier backdrop for a festival? We think not!
Go ahead now and block off your calendar for a day or weekend of family-oriented fun in western North Carolina in the small town of Fletcher, located just 18 miles south of Asheville.
Aside from the zany fair rides that'll turn your stomach around and around (but are still irresistible!), the fair is bringing back one of its most popular events: The Circle C Pig Races!
And last but certainly not least... when you work up an appetite, there will be plenty of delicious and sinful fair food to gobble up. Eat all you can... we won't judge.
The 2021 Mountain State Fair takes place at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center in Fletcher (address is below). The dates are September 10-19, 2021. Free parking is found on fair ground property. For daily hours of operation, ticket prices, and more general information, see this page on the fair’s official website. The fair has not posted a mandatory face mask rule yet, but you can keep an eye on that information by visiting the home page for the fair. Or you can always skip seeking that information and then be sure to bring a mask just in case you are required to wear one.
