Why This New York Park Is One Of The Most Beautiful Places On Planet Earth
New York is no stranger to having beautiful locations that will steal your breath away. We all may have our own favorite scenic spots, but there’s one state park in our state that continuously makes us feel like we’re entering a new world.

Sitting at the southern end of Seneca Lake in the village of Watkins Glen, this state park has long been recognized for being one of the most beautiful locations within New York.


Made up of hundreds of steps that run through the narrow gorge, the several different trails within the park will lead you to jaw-dropping views.

Don't be intimidated by the hundreds of steps you'll be climbing while hiking along the Gorge Trail, the views you'll have will be worth every pinch of effort!

The Cavern Cascade waterfall is usually people's favorite, giving you the unique adventure of being able to walk right behind it. But there are plenty of other waterfalls within the park that will grab your attention and steal your heart.

Aside from the popular Gorge Trail, visitors can also explore the Southern Rim Trail and Indian trail that go through the park.

Sometimes it's hard not to feel like the Finger Lakes is where you can find all of New York's most beautiful gems, with our city of waterfalls being less than an hour away from Watkins Glen. But there's something about these unique gorges within this park that will just leave you speechless.

During the fall visitors get to experience seeing the trails decorated in vibrant fallen leaves, with changing trees that are full of intense color creating a gorgeous backdrop. Adventurers who make their way out to the park during Spring will get the advantage of seeing the waterfalls quite powerful, with seasonal rain amplifying this location's beauty.


From jaw-dropping spiral staircases that you won't believe are hiding here to staircases that look too beautiful to be real, you'll love making your way through the park.


From down below, this bridge may look like something that will only make your stomach drop. But once you venture out onto this suspended platform you'll forget all about your fears! From above you'll be able to see the beautiful waterfalls and gorge down below, a view that's so stunning you'll end up not wanting to get off of this bridge.


Well-marked trails and informational signs always leading you in the right direction, you'll love all of the little quirks like this throughout the park that are just simply full of charm. The yellow-lettered signage will be something you wish that you could take home with you. And did we mention that there's an area along the gorge that's shaped like a heart?


While there's nothing like coming home after an amazing adventure and being able to visually reminisce on everything you just experienced, it's also important that you actually experience this state park. Make sure you don't stay glued to your camera the entire time so you can truly take in all of the marvelous views that are waiting for you here.
