Storm King Mountain Is An Easy Hike In New York That Takes You To An Unforgettable View

New York State is filled with scenery straight out of a fantasy novel, particularly in the famed Hudson Valley. It’s no coincidence that the entire art movement, the Hudson River School, sprung from this area. Thomas Cole, Frederic Edwin Church, and others painted the valley and its surrounding mountains – including Storm King Mountain. You can capture the same jaw-dropping beauty (with Instagram or paintbrushes) by hiking the Storm King Mountain trail.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. Hiking through Hudson Valley doesn’t have to mean a multi-day trek for experienced climbers. The natural beauty of the area can be taken in at Storm King Mountain with relative ease. Check out the AllTrails page for more details, right here. Don’t forget to pack that picnic!
