With the month of May just one more night’s sleep away from us, it’s quickly become that time of year where we’re already figuring out how we can cool ourselves off. Rising temperatures always bring a smile to our face after a long winter, but now it’s time to plan how you can survive New York’s hot and sunny days. Just one of the many natural wonders within our city of waterfalls, there’s a beautiful natural pool waiting for you out in the Finger Lakes that you’re going to want to visit this summer.
A stunning feature of the city of Ithaca, Buttermilk Fall State Park is a gem of the Finger Lakes.
If you're looking to work up a sweat first before cooling off in the water (that is if the heat isn't already doing that for you), you can explore the six different trails that are in the upper part of the park.
Anxious to see this park and the stunning waterfalls that await you here? Then have no fear! Just because you have to wait for swimming season to start doesn't mean you can't make an early trip here. The state park is open all year long and the hiking trails are back open for the year for you to explore. To find out more information about Buttermilk Falls State Park, click here.
