During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
A long time favorite, The Sagamore Resort opened back in 1883!
This history of this resort is quite fascinating and there's much more than meets the eye. The resort suffered through two fires in both 1893 and 1914, afterwards undergoing a full reconstruction in 1930. In its original days, the resort had a variety of visitors and quickly became popular, but sadly would close its doors in the early 1980s. Lucky for us, 100 years after opening its doors, a developer bought the resort with the goal of fully restoring it all.
The idea was originally created with the desire to build a resort that would feature the beautiful surrounding area of Lake George and the Adirondacks.
Beautiful waters perfect for swimming or fishing, with picturesque mountains in the background all around you? Sounds like paradise!
With nearly 400 rooms, the peaceful resort provides the perfect place for family vacations, work gatherings, weddings, and other special events.
The Sagamore offers a variety of rooms, all of which will cost you a pretty penny. Taking a vacation here is truly a one of a kind experience!
Beautifully landscaped, the setting here is simply stunning.
You'll have a hard time not looking like a tourist here even if you're from the area! With so much gorgeous scenery surrounding you, you'll have a hard time not constantly snapping pictures of everything you see and enjoy during your visit.
Included in your resort fee, you can take an unforgettable boat ride on The Morgan.
Pictured above, you can see The Morgan, which is a replica of a 19th century touring vessel. How beautiful? The boat rides last an hour and a half, bringing you around Lake George and can have up to 75 guest onboard. There's nothing like being out on the water!
Another incredible feature of this resort that draws in a ton of visitors, is their noteworthy 18-hole golf course.
Originally built in 1928, the beautiful course has been known to receive serious recognition.

Not one, not two but
eight dining venues are offered here. Yes, eight!
Receiving awards all around, the resort's restaurants are no exception! A favorite option you'll hear past visitors speaking about is the fantastic food you'll get from La Bella Vita, the perfect place to eat.
It's hard to believe this piece of paradise is right here in New York!
Another bonus? This place has both indoor and outdoor swimming options!
With views like this, you'll have a hard time leaving this island!
One of the first things people picture in their minds when they think of The Sagamore, the eye-catching walkway leading you down to the water.
Just one more thing to get you out in the fresh air, these beautiful steps stand out in the best way possible. While you're outside exploring, be sure to check out the nature trails, tennis courts, and all of the waterfront activities that are available at your fingertips.
From morning until night, you'll be amazed by this place.
