Two New York Towns Were Recently Named Among The Best Places To Live

The popular website Livability recently ranked the 100 best cities to live in America. It came as no surprise to those who love the Empire State that two cities from New York made the list! We are such a varied state with culture, history, amenities, and natural beauty. Whether you love our big cities or our small towns, New York is a great place to live and visit. Read on to see why Ithaca and Albany made the list.

New York's capital, Albany, ranked #50 on Livability's list. It's easy to see why.

Albany is bustling with activity. But with a population hovering around 100,000, it doesn't feel too busy.

There are plenty of amenities, but you're also close to lakes and mountains, so there are lots of opportunities to get outdoors.

Albany has good options for schools and work. It's easy to see why the population is increasing here!

Ithaca ranked #71 on Livability's list. Its population is only about 30,000, so it's quite a bit smaller than Albany.

Ithaca is probably best known on a national level for being the home of Cornell University. Ithaca College is also here, so it definitely has that college town feel.

The natural area in and around Ithaca is absolutely stunning. There are more than 100 waterfalls within 10 miles of Ithaca! Taughannock Falls State Park is especially worth a visit with its abundance of falls and several miles of lush hiking trails.

All in all, Ithaca is a gorgeous town that's great to live in or visit.
