It offers more than 256 miles of expansive water trails where boaters can take in beautiful views of the city, north Saratoga County, northern Washington County, and everything in between.

Canoes and kayaks are available to rent at many local businesses all up and down the Hudson River, including in Schenectady, Albany, Catskill, Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Cold Spring, and of course, New York City.

Even beginners can enjoy the open water, and hourly rentals are often available for those who want to test out the waters before committing to a longer trek.
There are also more than 100 designated access sites along the water trail for boaters to easily enter or exit the river. Launch and take-out points are spaced every 10 miles down the Hudson, so kayakers and canoers can easily stop for a break or bring their trip to an end whenever they are ready.
