According to many, an American soldier who was a part of the battles of 1777 was betrayed and shot by his own men. The man supposedly appeared to a woman visiting the park and explained to her what had happened to him, quickly disappearing afterwards. Today, some claim to see the man walking around the Saratoga Battlefield in a soldier's uniform.

Whether you see the spirit of a linger soldier or feel as though something out-of-this-world is standing right near you, it's walking along the hills of the battlefield where many of our visitors say they witness strange events.

The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, free for visitors to roam the trails. But sometimes going to haunted locations alone isn't our ideal adventure.
