Off The Beaten Path In Grant Cottage State Historic Site, You’ll Find A Breathtaking New York Overlook That Lets You See For Miles
One of the best parts about exploring New York is that all throughout our state you can find incredible pieces of history that have stood the tests of time. You can find a fascinating array of historic homes that are open to the public and for guided tours but one thing that not all of these sites offer is an unforgettable view of the Empire State. Pointing you in the right direction of where to go, it’s time to see why it’s worth traveling to the Grant Cottage Historic Site.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Something to know before you go? The Grant Cottage State Historic Site is actually on the same grounds as a former state prison! While the prison is no longer in use, when you arrive here, you'll have to pass through a security gate—don't let this confuse you, you're in the right place!
