While we love any good excuse to eat a ridiculous amount of food, these food challenges have the best prize of all… free food! That’s right! All 8 of these blissful restaurants offer up food challenges where you have the chance to win your meal for free. Let’s check out our options!
Now is about the time where I locate the nearest time travel machine and run back to the 80s as quickly as I can. Why, you may ask? Because Belinda Carlisle deserves the greatest pat on the back, for she was right, Heaven IS a place on Earth! Hiding away in the small city of Mechanicville you'll find the Colossal Pancake Challenge! These large and in charge pancakes are so huge, they have to be cooked specially in an oven! Wow!
Rules: You have just 20 minutes to finish these 2 twelve-inch pancakes topped with one pound of fruit and scoops of butter and whipped cream!
Prize: You'll rightfully earn your meal for free, receive a shirt and place on the Wall of Fame.

This funky Japanese restaurant is a favorite among New Yorkers who are seeking out a food challenge! Tucked away in the East Village, you can experience a challenge like no other here. Captured above, you can see your meal will consist of four pounds of curry and rice, wow!

The Magnum Challenge! Located out near Buffalo, this food challenge sets itself apart from the others by switching up the rules. To complete this food challenge you'll not only need your empty stomach, but a teammate as well! When fresh out of the oven, this gigantic pie weighs about 13 pounds.

Like we said before, in order to tackle this food challenge you'll ned a partner to join you. Another rule? You won't be able to get up from the table for a bathroom break and you'll have one hour to wolf down that pie!
