This Mouthwatering Ice Cream Trail In New York Is The Sweetest Adventure In The State
We’re back to take you on another great adventure! Recently we mapped out a delicious Ice Cream Trail that takes you through some of the most beautiful parts of the Adirondacks. Usually, when it comes to planning out an adventure for our readers, we focus on one region of our state to make things realistic. If we were to plan out an ultimate ice cream trail featuring the best ice cream in New York, it would likely end up taking days to complete. And while it would be nice to imagine spending an entire week traveling all around the Empire State dining on nothing but unforgettable desserts, not many of us actually have the time to do that.
With that said, another region of our state is up to bat! Today you’ll now find a mapped out excursion that will bring you to some of the tastiest locations around the Finger Lakes. With ten ice cream shops that are all unique and equipped with what it takes to win your heart (and stomach) over, this ice cream trail is what dreams are made of. Your next adventure starts here…
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

What is the most famous ice cream shop in New York?
There are so many wonderful ice cream shops in New York, it can be hard to choose a favorite. However, it might be easier to surmise what the most popular shop in the state is. Serendipity 3 in New York City is one of the most popular ice cream shops in the state, but also in the country. People travel from all over the world to indulge in gargantuan sundaes brimming with toppings. Also, don’t miss out on their famous frozen hot chocolate, which is as decadent as you can imagine.
Where can I find the best desserts in New York?
Spot Dessert Bar in New York is an East Village staple, which allows for sugar-craving tourists to pop in for an epically delightful experience. Really, where else can you find an entire bar dedicated to just desserts?! This cozy little shop is Asian-inspired so prepared yourself for some mocha green tea cupcakes and white-miso semifreddo.
Can I visit any drive-thru ice cream parlors in New York?
There is nothing like scoring some sweet treats without even having to leave your car. One perfect example is Curry Freeze in Rotterdam. This shop has been serving shakes and sundaes to the community for over 50 years. You can place your orders, call for service, and then have your frozen treats delivered straight to your car. How cool is that?! Another option for takeout ice cream in New York is Cappie’s Drive-In in Amsterdam. This drive-up ice cream shop has been open since 1965 and still as tasty as ever.
