Watkins Glen is regularly named one of the most beautiful places in New York. This amazing 400-foot deep gorge is the crowning jewel of the state park that shares its name. There, you'll find an incredible 19 waterfalls in just a two-mile trail!

One of the most fun museums in New York is the Museum at Bethel Woods. It's located on the grounds of what was once Max Yasgur's dairy farm, which hosted the famous Woodstock festival in 1969. The museum features fascinating exhibits covering the Civil Rights movement, the festival itself, and, of course, music of the time period.
The museum also regularly hosts events throughout the warmer months, including tons of concerts. You'll want to make sure to check their website's calendar of events before heading out for your trip.

It's actually debated whether Kaaterskill Falls is the tallest waterfall in New York, but whether you believe it is or not, it certainly belongs on anyone's bucket list. Thanks to the viewing platform overlook, you'll have stellar views.

Mt. Marcy is the tallest mountain in New York. If you dare to hike its peak, it's about a 6-7 hour trek. The views are astounding no matter what time of year you visit.
