Formerly a retail store that was known as Dimmick's, the shop was long a vital part of the town during the late 19th century and early 20th centuries.

Over the years, the building changed from being a grocery store to a sports shop, with its last gig being a video store.

Until finally the building came back into the right hands and was completely and carefully restored by its current owners.

Overflowing with charm, the shop even features a friendly face who goes by the name of Window William!

Embracing the long history behind this delightful building, the Hillsdale General Store features a variety of items.

From vintage finds that you won't stumble across in big-box stores to seasonal gifts that you won't be able to turn down, there's something here for everyone.

The general store is keen on featuring American-made goods, with tons of items in the shop coming from the local area.
