Buffalo’s winter weather may be harsh, but with these frequent snowstorms comes the luxury of being able to enjoy all sorts of winter activities. Some residents of the Queen City will make their way over to Chestnut Ridge Park to enjoy one of New York’s most epic toboggan rides, but if you’re someone who’s looking to enjoy a new adventure then we have the perfect outing for you. Ready or not, it’s time to start planning your trip to this amazing nearby winter coaster.
Only an hour south of Buffalo in the heart of Cattaraugus County's most scenic landscapes, the Holiday Valley Resort becomes the ultimate getaway to take during the winter.
Some residents of Western New York will make their way to Holiday Valley to make use of the resort's amazing ski trails and tubing park, but those who are seeking a unique winter adventure will want to head over to the Sky High Adventure Park.
One of our favorite parts of the resort, the adventure park has its very own mountain coaster that operates throughout all of Western New York's four seasons.
Control your own speed as you fly down the 4,805-foot-long track, with easily controlled hand brakes on the sides of the single and double passenger cars.
A newer attraction to hit Western New York, if you've yet to go for a ride on the Sky Flyer Mountain Coaster, we'll fill you in on the fact that it's cheaper to experience if you purchase it with your lift ticket.
Adventurous Buffalonians can purchase one ride for $7 dollars with your lift ticket, or get the most bang for your buck by getting an all-day pass for $20 dollars!
Operating between mid-December and mid-March, keep your eyes peeled for the official opening of Holiday Valley's winter mountain coaster ride this year.
