The history of this train park is almost as interesting as the museum itself! It was originally a small stone station, expanded to fit the needs of manufacturing companies with freight trains, and eventually sold in the 1960s after the decline of the railroad. At that time, the building was used as a warehouse for a local furniture shop until the owners retired in 1991.
It was then purchased by the current owner of the Medina Railroad Museum, Marty Phelps, who transformed the building into what it is today!
