This No-Frills Buffalo Restaurant Will Seriously Thrill Your Tastebuds
Contrary to popular belief, fine dining doesn’t always have to be in a swanky setting. Sometimes it’s nice to kick back and relax in a casual atmosphere while you treat yourself to delicious dishes. And that’s exactly what you get at The Blackthorn Restaurant & Pub. This no-frills Buffalo restaurant will seriously thrill your tastebuds.
The building has recently undergone renovations, but The Blackthorn is still the no-frills atmosphere patrons have come to love since 1977.
According to their website, "The pub patron is not just a customer, but a guest and a friend," and the welcoming atmosphere is felt throughout the restaurant whether you're dining or drinking! (Which you can also do in The Blackthorn's new heated patio area.)
Sink your teeth into anything The Blackthorn offers and you'll see why this place keeps people coming back for more. You literally cannot go wrong with ordering anything off the menu, but we suggest starting with the "House Favorites."
Some of the dishes The Blackthorn is famous for are their beef on weck, corned beef on rye (this is an Irish pub, after all!), and their Reuben sandwich. Each comes with a side of homemade jalapeno cheddar tater tots. Yes, you read that right!
There's no need to suit up or wear your highest heels to enjoy a night on the town at The Blackthorn. This restaurant and pub has a "come as you are" atmosphere, even though their dishes are five-star.
It wouldn't be a Buffalo restaurant without wings! They're especially wonderful when you're watching the game under the covered, heated patio. The vibe is just right!
There are so many options for amazing food at this no-frills restaurant, you'll have no choice but to keep coming back to try them all! We highly recommend the Firehouse Burger and the French Onion Chicken. Our mouths are watering just thinking about them!
The Blackthorn is so good that it gained the attention of the Food Network back in 2009. You can even order the same dish that was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives: a mini beef on weck, mini crab cake, small cup of Irish beer soup, and tater tots. Mmm!
