This 2-Hour Scenic Train Ride Showcases Everything We Love About Springtime Around Buffalo
Whether or not it feels like it outside, the spring season has officially arrived in good old Buffalo. While we may not be entirely prepared to put our shovels and sleds away, it is that time of year again when we can begin planning for day trips and weekend adventures in and around the Queen City once the warm weather arrives. Today, we’re headed just beyond the City of Buffalo for a scenic railroad featuring all the best parts of springtime in Western New York.
Some of the most scenic train rides in our region are aboard the Arcade & Attica Railroad.
Dating all the way back to the early 1900s, the Arcade & Attica Railroad has a long history in Western New York, but it continues to draw in families from all over to join in on the fun.
The Arcade & Attica Railroad offers unique rides and themed events throughout the year, but its main season runs from May through October.
Each ride is 2.5 hours long and whisks you away through the gorgeous scenery of Western New York.
Now that it's officially spring, the trains of Arcade & Attica Railroad are due to be up and running sooner than you might think.
Some of the popular themed rides that offered throughout the year (including during the spring) are Farm Days, World War II, and Vintage Train Rides.
However, there’s one exclusively springtime ride that’s coming up soon - and you don’t want to miss it.
Mark your calendars now for the Easter Bunny Express and Easter Egg Hunt Event!
This special event is only offered on three days during the spring season and makes for a joyful day for all who attend.
Every child who hops aboard the Easter Bunny Express will get their own plush Easter bunny and basket for collecting eggs during the egg hunt.
This year, the Easter Bunny Express will run on April 13th, 14th, and 20th. Tickets sell out quickly, so don’t wait to reserve them!
For more information about this fun springtime ride (as well as all of the other themed rides) and to purchase tickets, visit the Arcade & Attica Railroad website
The Arcade & Attica Railroad depot is located at 278 Main St., Arcade, NY 14009.
