Delicious festivals are one of the many things that Buffalo does best. It’s hard to beat our amazing Pierogi Fest in the summertime and our Wine & Cheese Festival delights hungry visitors around the holidays. Luckily for us, there’s a mouthwatering festival coming up in just a few weeks that you definitely don’t want to miss. Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 17th and make your way to the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center for a food fest that will warm you up from the inside out!
The Annual Buffalo Soup-Fest is returning for its ninth year on February 17th, and we’re already drooling in anticipation.
Once inside, scope out the tasty options and pick up a few Soup Bucks, which cost $1 each. Most samples cost 2-3 Soup Bucks.

Chefs from 30 restaurants in Western New York come to prove that their soups reign supreme. In total, there will be over 75 different varieties of soups to choose from.
Awards will be given for soups in several different categories, including Best Veggie Soup, Best Meat Soup, Best Chili, Best Buffalo-Style Soup, Best in the City, Best in the ‘Burbs, and, more
Pro tip: save the spicier soups for last to preserve your taste buds for milder varieties. You don’t want to miss out on any of the flavor just because your mouth is still burning from some extra-hot chili!
Here are a few things to keep in mind before you arrive: Soup-Fest is a cash-only event and tickets can be purchased at the gate of the convention center. Parking will be available at all of the center’s surface lots and garages, as well as valet service (at an extra charge). Finally, this is a family-friendly event and all are welcome; there will be a Kid Zone for younger festival-goers filled with fun games to keep younger festival-goers entertained while you sip on your soups, as well as photo opportunities for the entire family.
The 9th Annual Buffalo Soup-Fest will take place at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, which is located at 153 Franklin St., Buffalo NY 14202. The deliciousness begins at 11 a.m. and will run until 6 p.m.
