If you’re in search of some of the most enchanting landscapes in the area, Seneca Bluffs is the most scenic park near Buffalo. It’s a treat all year round, and it’s a destination you owe it to yourself to check out.
Less than two miles from the stunning Tifft Nature Preserve is a little slice of paradise that’s awaiting your visit.
Seneca Bluffs Natural Habitat Park is a natural paradise amidst an urbanized community. This natural escape has been protected since 1994, as it fosters a plethora of flora and fauna.
At only 15 acres in size, Seneca Bluffs is tiny enough that it’s easily overlooked… but it shouldn’t be.
Native vegetation has been reintroduced and invasive plants were removed from the area. Now, this site near the Seneca Street Bridge has been returned to its most natural state, and the end result is mesmerizing.

In the warmer months, visitors enjoy kayaking and fishing along the scenic Buffalo River.
The river is a source of fun for humans, but native fauna flocks to it for different reasons. Nonetheless, worlds collide in an incredible way along the river’s shore. It’s an absolutely dreamy place to unpack a picnic and sit for a while.
Whether you’re out taking pictures in the summer months or embarking on a wintertime snowshoe hike, the park’s trails will immerse you in the beauty of the great outdoors.
Believe it or not, much of the park is maintained by the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Funding was provided by The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative to assist with the restoration of this little slice of paradise. Though it is constantly evolving as invasive species are continually combated, the park seems to grow lovelier with each passing day.
