There’s No Other Movie Theater In All Of New York Quite Like This One In Buffalo
When you think of New York and theatre, we’d be willing to bet that the Big Apple comes to mind before Buffalo. We’re also willing to bet you’d think differently if you’ve ever been to this historic place. North Park Theatre has been a cornerstone in Queen City entertainment since the 1920s. There’s no other movie theater in all of New York quite like this one in Buffalo.
The theatre was operated under Dipson Theatres until it was repurchased in 2013.
Both venues were owned by Michael Shea as part of the former Shea's theatre chain.
During this time, extensive renovations were made to the interior of the building. The renovations took roughly 8 months to complete.
The updates were clearly worth it, as you'll see once you step inside North Park Theatre. A single-screen and neoclassical elements will transport you to a new era.
Come for the show – stay for the architecture! It's hard not to be impressed when you look up at this theatre. Just try not to let it distract you from the movie playing on the screen.
You can find a mixture of movies – from independent and specialty movies to, on occasion, first-run films.
There's nothing worse than taking noisy kids to a quiet movie theatre only to be scoffed at by fellow patrons. North Park Theatre hosts kids' and family movie events so you can enjoy yourself without feeling judged!
