Taking a trip to the 716, or welcoming out-of-town guests? Not sure how you should fill an entire day in the Queen City? You’ve come to the right place! Between waterfront activities, downtown strolls, fine arts, and architecture, there’s never a lack of entertainment in Buffalo. If you’re looking for the best basics to add to your itinerary, here are our picks for 11 ways to have the most Buffalo day EVER. Enjoy!

You're going to need some fuel for a fun-filled day in Buffalo! First things first: get caffeinated at one of several great cafes in the city.

Betty's is Buffalo's favorite breakfast joint, but there are plenty of other great options to choose from. To get the full Buffalo effect, walk or bike to your breakfast spot!

In the summer months, Buffalonians flock to Lake Erie for fun in the sun. Take a trip from Buffalo Water Bikes and paddle your way around the waterfront!

You'll want to take a seat after your afternoon activities. Lucky for you, Canalside has several chairs to choose from! No Buffalo day would be complete without some people watching and enjoying the scenery. (And taking a selfie with Shark Girl, obviously.)

Head to one of downtown's delicious restaurants for lunch. There are so many places to choose from, you can't go wrong if you tried! Bonus Buffalo points if you get a flight of locally brewed beer with your meal.

Buffalo is well-known for our architectural prowess. Wander around the downtown area and look up to take in the history. Many of our most famous buildings even offer tours and photo opportunities inside. When in doubt, just ask if you can come in to take a look!

Not sure how to find them? Just ask a passerby, "Where's Lloyd?" and they'll likely know the answer! Buffalo has several food trucks roaming the streets on any given afternoon - perfect for curing that mid-day hunger.

Grab some cheap tickets to Coca-Cola Field and watch one of Buffalo's favorite teams play America's favorite pastime. Grab a beer and a Ted's hot dog (or a Ru's pierogi!), get your popcorn, and settle in for nine innings of fun!

If you're not into baseball or want to have an earlier dinner, your best Buffalo bet is to find a patio to dine al fresco. We recommend choosing one overlooking Lake Erie, but there are tons of options for great dining downtown!

Depending on the day, see which shows are up at Shea's! It wouldn't be a trip to Buffalo without at least walking past this historic theatre, so even if you're not interested in partaking in the entertainment inside, head to the Theatre District and enjoy the sights and sounds!

Think it's too late for a drink? There's basically no such thing in Buffalo! Most of our bars are open late (some even until 4AM). Quench your thirst with a specialty cocktail at one of our new modern bars, or grab an old-fashioned night cap at a more established joint.
Whatever you choose to add to your itinerary, Buffalo certainly has a lot to offer! What are your must-do/see/eat/visit places for the best Buffalo day? Share your picks in the comments below!
