Here in Erie County, you can find all sorts of restaurants that are either set within historic buildings or showcase parts of our region’s past in exciting ways. Today, we’re going to take you 15 minutes east of Downtown Buffalo to deliciously explore our region’s unique history in a way that you most likely never have before. Ready to get a glimpse into the 1920s? Then stay with us as we take you on a trip to Jazzboline Restaurant.
Just over on Main Street in Amherst, Jazzboline Restaurant is a dining destination that you'll wish you had discovered sooner.
The restaurant is inspired by the 1920s, with little trinkets and pieces of the past strewn about decorating the restaurant.
Most importantly, however, is that this Erie County restaurant pays homage to Frank Reikart, an inventor and luthier who is responsible for creating - you guessted it - the Jazzboline.
If you've never heard of a Jazzboline, you're not alone; it's a unique, banjo-like instrument that can be both strummed like a guitar or played with a bow like a violin.
But the word took on a whole different meaning in this area of Western New York with the establishment of this delicious dining destination. It's as unique as Reikart's invention!
Inside Jazzboline, you'll find a luxury dining room that will make you glad you decided to dine out for the day.
As if the history and atmosphere wasn't fantastic enough, you'll immediately be hooked once you glance around and notice all of the delicious food that's on their menu!
On their dinner menu, you can find starters like raw oysters, lamb bibs, Jazzboline Wings, BBQ pulled pork taquitos, and brick oven clams…
...while the rest of the menu features mouthwatering options like lobster roll sliders, Rotisserie Weck, Jazzboline burgers, Atlantic cod, pan-seared salmon, and so much more.
You'll truly find yourself wishing you had room for more - especially once you lay your eyes on the dessert menu!
In addition to the tasty eats, Jazzboline is also known for whipping up unique cocktails.
Jazzboline Restaurant offers brunch, lunch, and dinner and is open seven days a week. For more information and a peek at the delicious menus,
