While some of Buffalo’s most scenic attractions are on full display, other destinations in and around the city require a bit more adventuring to reach. Today, we’re headed away from the waterfront and down into New York’s westernmost corner to explore a hidden park that’s absolutely magical – and it’s just a short drive south from the Queen City.

Panama Rocks Scenic Park is located just 80 miles south of Buffalo and will talk about an hour and a half to reach it, but the journey is more than worth the beautiful drive to get to it.
This 15-acre park is filled with paths leading through towering crevices and enormous, ancient rocks, and those who visit will find themselves whisked away into the woods for an experience that is nothing short of magical.

The formations within Panama Rocks Scenic Park date back to the Devonian period, between 350-400 million years ago.
