The Winter Walk Near Buffalo That Will Positively Enchant You
The holidays are a magical time, and we’re fairly certain that twinkle lights can take about 50 percent of the credit for the wonder of the season. There are several local light displays worth checking out, but one shines brightly above the crowd. This winter walk near Buffalo will positively enchant you — and keep you coming back for years to come!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Better known as the Erie County Fairgrounds, this location is no stranger to bright lights and activity. And we're confident this light displays far surpass the beauty of a summertime Ferris wheel.

Gates are open from 5 to 9 p.m., with buildings and grounds open until 10 p.m. The cost to check out the festival is $15 pre-sale per carload or $23 per carload at the gate.

Visitors to the Festival of Lights are able to drive through to see amazing LED light displays throughout the fairgrounds. Along with drive-through sightings, you're also invited to park the car and get a more up close and personal look at the festivities on foot.

It's no Polar Express, but the Upstate Farms Express is close enough! This tiny train hauls passengers around the fairgrounds for a fun family memory.

The Festival of Lights is obviously known for its lighting displays, but there are several other activities to enjoy! The Tops Winter Wonderland, for instance, allows children to create their own personalized Christmas crafts.

What kind of Christmas festival would be complete without a Santa sighting? Santa AND Mrs. Claus are on-site to greet guests and pose for photo ops at "Santa's House."

If your version of a tree farm is hitting up the local Lowe's, you can experience a more authentic (and way more magical) version of a real tree farm at the Festival of Lights. The "Christmas Tree Forest" features 100 illuminated trees, perfect for a romantic stroll and photo opportunities galore!

The Fairgrounds Festival of Lights is a must-see in Western New York. If you haven't yet experienced its wonder, we highly recommend a trip to see it firsthand. And if you've been in years past, that's no reason to skip this year! The lighting displays vary from year to year and are always equally as enchanting.
The little lights… they are most definitely twinkling at this enchanting winter walk and drive-through light display!
