Take This Fall Foliage Train Ride Near Buffalo For A One-Of-A-Kind Experience
All aboard! The Arcade & Attica Railroad is a local gem, known by many for their “Polar Express” train rides and the bright, bold orange adorning their rail cars. What many might not know, however, is that the A&A truly shines in the autumn. Take a trip out to quaint Arcade, NY and take advantage of this fall foliage train ride near Buffalo for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Everything from the train itself down to the smallest details in the station represent railroad history, including vintage lanterns and an authentic ticket office!

Each train ride takes you through farmlands and countryside that harkens to the train's historic past.

The train stops halfway through its travels at Curriers Depot, where it switches directions for the journey back to Arcade. During this time, kids activities are held, concessions are served, and passengers are invited to take a self-guided tour of the museum.

Once the train engine has been coupled, passengers board the passenger car to head back to the station. Pro tip: try riding in the open gondola car in front of the engine on the trip back to add to the experience! The sounds of the engine are described best as "enchanting."

While the whirring of the engine might be a bit loud, you'll find yourself lost in the nature surrounding you in no time. The A&A travels through quiet, peaceful farmlands and the fall foliage along the way is breathtaking!

All of the seats on board the train offer great views, but if you're planning on snapping photos or getting as close as possible to the fall foliage, board as early as you can to grab a window seat. There are no assigned seats on the train, but you can "flip" the backs of the seats in order to face your friends on the ride.

After October 22nd, the train switches their schedule up a bit. Be sure to mark your calendars for the "Haunted Train" Halloween Train Ride on October 28th and 29th.

The Arcade & Attica also offers adult-only excursions like Wine Tasters Train Rides and Ale on the Rails, as well as Senior train rides, Holiday events, Civil War Days reenactment rides, and more!
