9 Struggles Everyone In Buffalo Can Relate To
Buffalo is the best, and if you live here, you know it. But while we love to toot our own horns and tout the Buffalove, life in the Queen City isn’t always a cake walk. Here are nine struggles everyone in Buffalo can relate to:
Someday, commuters will figure out how to properly merge onto the 90 from the 290. Until then, Buffalonians will continue to curse the days of getting stuck by the Big Blue Water Tower during rush hour.
White knuckles, anyone? If you've ever taken the Skyway during a particularly windy (or snowy) day, you know exactly what we mean. Keep those hands at 10 and 2 and whatever you do... don't look down!
Sorry, friends. You might as well get used to watching the snow pile up on your car in the work parking lot! If you live in Buffalo and Western New York, you'll rarely ever be excused from your work duties due to weather conditions.
Our teams don't win championships, our weather is unpredictable, and because of it, we're left defending the 716 more often than we'd like. Outsiders just don't understand!
Three letters for you: S P F. The first beautiful, sunny day of the season often makes us forget about our winter pale skin, thus leading to one of the most painful Buffalo struggles of all: sunburn.
All aboard the struggle bus while waiting for public transportation to arrive! We're sadly behind in the latest and greatest trends in transportation... but get ready to kiss this Buffalo struggle behind. Ride sharing is coming to the Queen City soon!
Throw BBQ into the mix and you have a REALLY tough decision on your hands! Thankfully, most pizzerias will happily split orders for the indecisive so you can have the best of both worlds. (Extra bleu cheese and extra crispy, please!)
It's either hot outside and freezing inside, or freezing outside and 80 degrees inside. Either way, we just can't win. Always come to work wearing layers and then remember to either add more or take some off before quitting time.
Every Buffalonian has experienced the struggle of a loved one making plans on a Bills Sunday that doesn't involve watching the game. Baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, family gatherings, you name it... we'll think of any excuse to skip it if our boys in red and blue are playing! (Sorry, Grandma.)
