Enjoy Never-Ending Views Of Buffalo And Beyond From The City Hall Observation Deck
In a city that’s situated along one of America’s Great Lakes, Buffalonians are more than familiar with enjoying beautiful views. If you’re ready to take on a one-of-a-kind adventure that will leave you in awe, then there’s no better free activity to enjoy than a tour of one of Buffalo’s most stunning landmarks. See for yourself!
Found right over along Niagara Square is our fabulous City Hall. And getting the full tour of City Hall is one of the many things you have to do in order to become an official Buffalonian.
Known as the "Windows of Buffalo," City Hall — and it's wonderful views — are among the many reasons people love to come and visit City Hall. The view from the observation deck is unbeatable.
Before you make your way to the top of City Hall, each week day you can find free tours that are available to the public, no reservation required!
Those who want to enjoy a free tour of City Hall can meet in the lobby at 12 p.m. every week day, where you'll get to learn more about the architectural glory that makes up one of our city's most recognizable landmarks.
After gathering in the lobby, you'll step inside the historic and gorgeous elevators to make your way up to the top of the building.
Before you reach the observation deck though, you'll get to stop along the way to see the Mayor's office and the Common Council Chambers on the 13th floor - where you can find Buffalo's most gorgeous skylight.
Last but not least, you'll ride the elevator up to the 25th floor of City Hall, and then make your way up a few flights of stairs, and voila! You're officially a true Buffalonian.
Once you reach the observation deck, you'll have panoramic views of Buffalo that will leave you completely speechless.
All along the observation deck, you'll find informative pictures that label and point out which buildings and landmarks you're seeing before you, helpful signage to anyone that's unfamiliar with Buffalo or a first-time visitor of our city.
Aside from the fun in trying to find your own neighborhood and other fun landmarks...
...you'll also have never-ending views of Lake Erie that will leave you absolutely mesmerized.
If you've yet to cross this off of your Queen City bucket list, then be sure to stop by City Hall on a week day to enjoy a free tour of this Art Deco masterpiece and to enjoy the sweeping views from Buffalo's observation deck!
