During the month of October, you’ll find all sorts of charming Halloween attractions up and running here in Buffalo. With that being said, this is the spookiest month of the year, and some of us may be seeking out activities that will send a chill down our spines. If you’re ready to experience Buffalo’s biggest, most haunted house, then it’s time to head on over to Union Road just east of Downtown.
Only 20 minutes outside of Downtown, the House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs is considered to be the biggest and best haunted house in all of Buffalo.
This haunted attraction that isn't for the faint of heart; the House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs gives you the chance to experience a total of 11 different haunted attractions all in one place.
The haunted house is open daily during the Halloween season and reinvents its features each year, ensuring new experiences to chill visitors to their very core.
A horrifying mixture of haunted houses and escape rooms, houses like the Killer Theatre and Killer Theatre Part 2 will bring you face to face with Hollywood’s most infamous killers.
Other areas of the House of Horrors include spots like the Hell House, which puts you inside the walls of a house where endless murders have been committed... and you may or may not ever make it out alive.
If you do, hop onto The Last Ride - a motion-simulated ride to your grave.
As far as the escape rooms go, you'll have the chance to check out the Death Machine and a handful of other that will lock you inside rooms with pharaohs, zombies, killers, and other intense creatures.
This terrifying attraction is definitely meant for adults and teens, so leave young children at home while you test your bravery at the House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs of Western New York.
Some things to know before you go: If you plan on buying tickets at the door, they only accept cash. Tickets can also be purchased online in advance, which will definitely save you some time when you arrive - the ticket line can get rather long at this popular attraction.
