With a history dating all the way back to 1900, Buffalonians have long been enjoying all that the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens have to offer.
The gardens encompass nearly 12 acres, and you'll feel like you’ve been stepped into a fairytale from the moment you arrive at the breathtaking Victorian glass houses.
From the gorgeous glass ceilings to the magical hanging plants, this place will keep your head on a swivel as you try to take it all in.
Be sure to look up, down, and all around at every inch of the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens.
Drawing in upwards of 100,000 visitors each year, people from all around Western New York and beyond come to see all the different plants and flowers that are housed within the gardens.
As you begin to wander through the different buildings and walkways, you'll pass by everything from exotic flowers in the Tropical Collection to wonders from the Florida Everglades.
Other amazing areas show off the plant life from different regions and ecosystems, including the Aquatic Garden, Asian Rain Forest, and an entire area designated to Cacti & Succulents.
The jaw-dropping scenery can be a lot to take in, but keep your eyes peeled for surprising like pineapples growing among the greenery.

You’ll be swept off your feet by the Peace Garden Roses, the Healing Garden, and the Panama Cloud Forest.
It’s hard to believe that so much beauty can fit inside the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens.
Summertime is a particularly vibrant season here, both with blooming plants and with lively events.
On July 25, 2019, the gardens will host a Botanics & Brew event that includes delicious food, cheese samples, unlimited beer, live music, raffle prizes, and self-guided tours through the gardens.
